Path

Education: Bakhtiyor Turaev developed as an artist in the academic theater environment.

Mentoring: His teacher, the outstanding theater artist and set designer Georgiy Brim, played a crucial role in his professional and creative development.

Concept: Having adopted the classical school, the artist developed his own concept of modern scenography based on the synthesis of complex spatial geometry, illusions of perspective and deep symbolism.

Creativity

Theatrical scenography: Since the 1990s, the name of Bakhtiyor Turaev has been inextricably linked with the development of theatrical art in Uzbekistan. As the chief set designer of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater, he has designed the majority of key productions.

Characteristics: His scenographic solutions are distinguished by their ability to convey the philosophical depth of drama through seemingly simple forms. He masterfully works with distorted stage perspectives, multi-plane wings, lighting, and special effects to create historical and emotional landscapes.

Significant productions: His works include Sohibkiron (1998), Amir Temur (1996), Mashrab (1997), where the scenography was built around a circle symbolizing fate, and Alisher Navoi, in which the central solution was the use of a long canvas with the poet's works written on it. Other notable works include "Erkina," "The Tricks of Maysara," and "Saddi Iskandariy."

Painting: In addition to theater scenography, Bakhtiyor Turaev is actively involved in easel painting. His paintings are dominated by national motifs, metaphorical portraits and architectural landscapes.

Sand Art: He is also one of the first artists in Uzbekistan to professionally master the Sand Art technique, creating dynamic paintings in this new visual genre.

Awards: He is also a laureate of the Zamin Yulduzlari (Stars of the Earth) award.
